Push button Starter
Because I installed air conditioning I find it quite inconvenient to use the foot starter and am asking for guidance in installing a pushbutton and solenoid type starter like the ford V8 finally came up with. What is available? parts numbers if known.

Re: Push button Starter
I venture you are 12 volt! I have no part numbers but had some pictures that may get you and other started on an answer. I venture there are some folks who have actually done what you are asking. The 12 volt coil wiring is optional but could help in cold weather.

Re: Push button Starter
I substituted in a "modern" ignition switch, one that has the ignition circuit and the spring return Starter postion, in the place of the Key Switch on the yellow wire in the above diagram. Just put it in the dash where the stock switch now is. The stock ignition wiring goes through that switch to the indicated terminal. The wire to the selonid comes off the terminal so marked on the switch. Fairly easy set up.
