Anybody know the approximate number of parts in a Model A? This would include every nut, bolt, washer, screw, cotter pin, etc. I've heard 2000+ and I've heard 5500+.

Also, just for comparison, how many parts in modern car...say a Ford Tarus or a Ford F-150?

Aprox 4700 is the number i've heard.

I imagine it depends on how you count parts. Is the speedometer 1 part or numerous?

I'd guess 75 - 100

I'd say two - the top and the bottom.

But the only real way to know for sure is to disassemble it and start counting. I'll get right on it.

I think I've read somewhere that when talking to a reporter Henry stated that there was some 4,700 parts in a model A. Then the reporter asked an engineer about Henry's statement, to which he said that's the most useless information I've ever heard.

It would seem like it would vary depending on what model you had.
