Default Windshield Wiper

Hello everyone with winter here I’m finally getting around to rebuilding a my windshield wiper. My car never had a wiper on it and the po bondo over it, I’d like to put it back on. The wiper I’m rebuilding doesn’t have any pitting in the bottom FYI. And no I don’t want to just cost my window in rainex

Any advice on rebuilding?

Can someone post some photos of how it’s mounted on a closed car.

I’m also missing the press in fitting for the wiper hose, anyone know what that’s called?

See photos

The vendors sell a nice kit that includes gaskets, a paddle, and grease. First off, you need the special bit to remove the screws that hold the two hlusing pieces together - also available from the vendors. Next, the old grease will have to be cleaned out and the paddle might have to be dissasembled and partially replaced. If the rubber on the paddle is dried out and cracked it will have to be replaced as you need to have a good seal for things to work properly (that is if it is more than show). You will have to drill out the rivet and disassemble the pieces (Do not throw anything away, and find a way to remember the order). Those parts will have to be cleaned too. Off topic: does using brake cleaner ruin the pot metal?
