Family Pictures
I don't know the backstory... All I know really know is that one of our member has one hell of a family album. But don't take my word for it... To read the rest of this blog entry from The Ford Barn, click here. |

Re: Family Pictures
Thanks Ryan, I was thrilled to get these pics from my uncle of my car when he and dad used to drive the car on Cocoa Beach and "go trolling"

Do you own the theater ? I spent twenty-five years, owning and operating a movie theatre and video store. MIKE |

Re: Family Pictures
Thanks fella's! I like to think my family has done well in that department. lol Yes I still have the car, it’s been in the family since 1939. First my Grandfather, father, and now mine. To me it’s not just a car but a family heirloom.

Re: Family Pictures
Your great family pictures have inspired me to share what I found in the "Family Shoebox".
Warning: Not all are Fords. 1. Mum and Dad proudly wrote "Our Ford" on the photo of their 1930. Can't quite makeout if it's a Tudor or Fordor. 2. Dad (left) and his buddy pose on the "T", September 1927. 3. Mum & Dad (on right) supervise tire changing. Did someone cut his tie in half? 4. Second cousin Alfred 2x removed, takes the family for a ride. 5. Moline Police Chief, Grand Uncle Hilton (2nd from right), poses with Fire Truck. 6. Brother Harold, Jr waves from a tall "T" - 1925. 7. Brother Bob posed on rear tire of a....? - 1929. 8. Brother Bob drove a Packard in 1931. 9. Grand Uncle Merton must have been the blacksheep driving a Chevy in 1929. No idea where any of these vehicles are now.

Re: Family Pictures
H/Whisperer: Photo #3. That's how ties were "back then".

Re: Family Pictures
HoarseWhisperer: it's probably a Fordor town sedan since it has cowl lights.

All of my dad's ties from back then were only have way down to the belt. Now days they are just over the belt. I'm just amazed that my parents could afford a new Ford during the depression. They also seemed to have very nice clothes. Dad must have remained employed. Wish they were still around...so many questions.
