Default Flathead V8 album Vol 1 & 2

I know this was a thread last august and I finally read most of my other books enough to order these two, they are great. If you have not picked these up they will make your head spin with all the info and pictures.

Print and picture quality is very good, $65.50 was the total to my door.

Absolutely, I would say more than half the questions asked in this forum are answered in these two volumes.

Quickly looking them over Volume 2 in chapter 3 Engine and Engine compartment settles a lot of the debate of whats what under the hood. Chapter 13 "dating your Ford" engine and serial numbers is priceless.

Chapter 3 in the first volume has some great info with appendix A-7 manufacturing locations and assembly branches and very useful appendix A-12 Fastener Usage Guide. Scot Kohler and all the contributors did a great job on these engine albums.

Good stuff. I heard they only printed 200 copies so I picked up two copies as soon as they were published. Not sure if that info is reliable, but get 'em while you can!

RDRR Jeff, I still have an old flip phone and the only thing I plug in usually is a battery charger.

You guys living in the USA get it real good. Because of the poor exchange rate of our Australian dollar and the exorbitant postage cost, the landed cost to me would be in the vicinity of A$200. If I lived in New Zealand, the cost would be more, because their NZ dollar is even worse than our Aust dollar. At that cost, I will have to pass on it, pity.

All hope is not lost there MercMan my brother and sister in-law just came back from a vacation "Down Under" a few weeks ago, had I known they would have been happy to bring a set over and mailed them upon arrival.

I would think someone here on the FordBarn may be vacationing and very willing to help you out.

Sounds like the club should do a care package down under.

I bought them to add to the collection. Not disappointed I received them. I'm a sucker for tech literature. Some redundant aspects and a couple new stories. Worth it if it's part of your new collect.

Few others for some guys looking for stuff to educate. There is many all is decent. Never too much and no one is complete.
