52 Victoria has dual two barrel carbs original vacuum advance distributor
six volt vintage Mallory voltmaster coil Looking replace with mechanical

advance distributor, See some different choices from vendors on line, Looking

for advice information on best way to go Thanks for any response,information.

I think your best choice would be to contact "Charlie ny" on this forum. He can fix you up with a SBC unit converted for use on a flathead. You can have your choice; mechanical only, vacuum over mechanical, a GM unit or maybe even an old "flattop" Mallory (the coolest looking). You can also haunt eBay and find an older Mallory dual point unit (they are of higher quality than the currently available units) for a flathead and pay accordingly. It's also a crapshoot on condition.

Yes, Charly NY makes a distributor with adjustable Mechanical and vacuum advance. With 16akk in at 2k 3.4 initial and 26.28 Vac you should get excellent performance as well as great fuel economy. I also recommend an AF meter for setting up the carbs, Always tune a street engine for economy cruise, where 90% of your driving is.

Too bad I do not have an extra chevy distributor My 64 El Camino has one but it needs to stay where it 's at.
