I got around to cleaning up block to paint. The intake has some old ford green. I have found some blue paint on the block back by the bellhouse. Someone over the years has painted the oil pan red. My question is did ford paint the blocks blue on the Mercury flatheads? Or was someone into Multiple colors. This motor has sit for years . New points , plugs, wires, coil, and rebuild the carburetor. Did all that hit the starte button and fired right up . Thanks for any help Miff
