Default 302/351 2V Carb

Will a 351 2v carb work on a 302? That "site" has a 351 2V carb (D2OF-UB). It's a 1971 Torino w/automatic. Thanks, George M.

If that D2OF-UB is/was on a '71 Torino it's likely a replacement for the original since that tag # indicates it's 72 (D2='72) carb. The tag crosses to a service replacement carb # D2AZ-9510-C, which according to the parts book I have, is for a 351W with manual transmission.

There was so much interchanging and replacing going on back in those days it's kind of tough to track them, and many carbs could be interchanged with a little fiddling around. If memory serves from my old parts department days the 2 most popular replacement 2 bbl carbs were the D2AZ-9510-C (351) and the D2AZ-9510-P, which I think was for the 302s and possibly earlier 289s at that time.

all ford 2bbl carbs from 57 up will fit with some frigging around.the early ones 64 and older will not have kickdown hookup.
