Default Drug another home but with a torque converter

Drug another home from 30-40 years of dry storage to ad to my huge pile. Has interesting air cooled aluminum converter. Not sure exact year prob 52-53. Is this converter the same as 55-56 T-birds. Value? Converter only that is. Also has starter with3 bolt flange guess that’s an auto starter or a model A
Thanks
Cheers

Autos had that type of starter. I have one too if you need/want an extra spare.

Thanks Tim. I don’t have trans so won’t need starter or converter. Thanks all the same.

Based on the water pumps and the EAB on the head, looks like '52-'53 Ford.
The starter I have has an extra ear that is not used and is bolted on with just two bolts.

I don't think the converter is the same, the flathead flex plate is just kind of a rectangular plate if I remember correctly.

I thing the changed the way the converter connects to the transmission in 52 or 53 but I cant' remember. That one looks like a later type but I can't be certain. There ares still a fair amount of old Ford-O and Merc-O-Matics out there. They are essentially the same in the same year of manufacture but updates were done on the fly in those early years. Put it on the swap meet or flea-pay. Someone may have an interest.

If the EAB heads are any indication then it would be a later 52 or 53 engine. It looks to be set up for a Ford car in those years.

We have a '55 Tbird with that type of converter and my neighbor has a '56 Lincoln as well. Don't know if the two are the same, but they are both that air cooled version.
