I was there today for a few hours with my wife, and I think you got a photo of everything going on there today. Good update for everyone who can't be there. Absolutely no access to fine point cars today. Later only for registered participants.

Uh. I guess it's just an owners "touch up" accessory!

In Feb 2009 I went to a car show in Fort Meyers, FL and saw a very similar arrangement if not the same car, very close. It was at some sort of Ford Museum? can't really remember. Never did find out if it was authentic or not.

Attached are the two photo's I took.

Just thought it would be of some interest on this thread.

The Landau bars are different, but not as much as the 30 wagon with window's and rear bumpers!

Is this the 27 truck mentioned in an earlier post?

I've heard of the wide bed pick up but don't really know the difference. The bed on this closed cab PU looked like it came off a 33 ford PU but someone at the meet remarked that this is a wide bed truck. Is that so??

And one more oddity from the meet...dual up drafts. I wonder what cam you would need to install to get any real performance from this... but it looked pretty neat.

Yes, I think it was identified as:

"I see Mr. Ron Rude made it with his early 1928 (Late 1927) "Blue" Kentucky Wagon Works Commercial vehicle!"

Yes, and, unless it occurred lately, the only beds that didn't have Ford written on the tailgate.

They are Model T fenders as was the originals.

This was one of the "99" chassis that were sent out for commercial vehicles in 1927 and Kentucky Wagon Works was one of the builders who got this particular chassis, A1276, and Ron built an exact duplicate of the wooden body which was on it originally as you see.

Steve, those fenders are very similar to 26-27 Roadster but after looking at them for awhile, I'm not sure. I am going to compare them to mine when I get back home.

Brent,

Ron has a great historical story about the car and knows quite abit about it's coming to Orovile, CA from the factory in 1927/1928.
