Default Zephyr gears or not?

I'm slowly trying to gather parts for my 39 DeLuxe conv. I am going to be running a 59A with 4" Merc crank, .030 over with mild cam. Not a hot rod by any stretch, just a warmed up reliable mill. Within the pile of parts that I got with the car, there was a very nice 25tooth Zephyr cluster gear, as well as the matching second gear. To make the set complete, I need a 19t main drive gear, which I have located but not bought. My question is this: Is the 39 conv just too heavy a car for this gear set? Tomorrow I will check the rear gear ratio. Keep in mind, I would not spend the bucks to have Zephyr gears just to say I had Zephyr gears. I'm only considering it because I already have two of the three pieces needed. I had thought about a T5 but really don't want to split the bones and cut up the x member. I would rather keep it more trad. Apologies for the long post.
