Default 1951 V8 Custom Front Pinion Bearing

I am working on a 1951 Ford and need to replace the front pinion bearing and race. I've received advice and opinions elsewhere, including to ask for help on thefordbarn.com I would like to know how to remove the race, if that is possible, without taking the differential apart from someone that has done it. I have removed the oil seal and bearing and looked at the race which I would like to replace. Any advice before I just try to yank it out will be appreciated.

The 1st generation Ford removable center section rear axle was born with the shoe box Ford cars. The axles have to be pulled out at least enough to remove the third member center section. It can be repaired and adjusted on the bench so it's much easier than the old banjo rear axles to deal with. The main housing can be left in the car. I would replace both Timken bearing sets so that the preload can be set properly, One worn set with one new set is not an ideal way to go. These axles have commonality from 1949 through 1954 on most parts which includes bearings and seals. I hope your ring and pinion are still in serviceable condition. These are not available new. A person can get lucky on NOS sometimes but a used set may be easier to source if they are not servicable.
