Cecil,

Please note that the post you reference was from over a month ago. The deadline for booking rooms in our block was May 11. We have worked with the hotel and John has his room at the meet rate.

I know we all look forward in going to the National meet in Dearborn as I am. That the place to learn about your Ford and meet friends. If you don't go you miss a lot. I like judging so I can learn about my Ford. This year I am taking the 40 so we will have something to drive on the tours. Maybe next year we can take the 32. It got a long way to go to get ready. Hope to see you all there.

Looks like it has quite a ways to go before it's done. Sure looks like an old junker. Funny thing is you say that about all your vehicles and they are in excellent condition.

See you in a few weeks.

Hope everyone has a great time. I've been to four GNs at Dearborn and there is lots to see and do there. Dearborn should be on everyone's "bucket list" if you have never been there. Enjoy he week!

Arrived at the host hotel last night ~ 7:00 pm. Quite a few V8ers were already here, including 6/7 guys from Australia.
We stopped off in Cleveland to see the Crawford Museum , and Glad we did, finally got to see all three Stainless Steel cars together (one of six '36 tudor touring sedan, a Thunderbird, and a Lincoln Continental)

A great gathering of early Ford V8's here at Dearborn. Concourse tomorrow, Thursday, 9 am to 3 pm. I'll be posting some pictures of the cars that afternoon or evening. If you happen to live close by, or maybe happen to be in the area, stop in and see these nice cars and trucks.

I took at least one picture of every car on the show field yesterday. I'll post these here once I get them downloaded from my camera to a computer.

We have the awards banquet tonight and this will bring the 2018 Grand National Meet to a close. Then we have a weekend event known as Motor Muster at the Greenfield Village to attend.

Brendan,

In 2020 there will be a Western National Meet in Alamosa Colorado. That will be a little closer for you to attend.

Hi Everyone, Brendan, here are some photos from the meet that JM took along with a couple that I took. It's easier for me to post them right now. Of course there a lot more, but I'm having to resize them individually so it's a bit of a PITA.

Here is a picture I got yesterday at the V-8 Foundation. It's mercman from oz, pointing out some of the V-8 60 Speed Parts for boats that he's donated.

Thanks Jeff. It was good to see some Fordbarners at the V8 meet. I got to visit with Meric42 from New Zealand also. Glad you folks were able to make the long journey.

Just arrived home last night at 7:00 pm. Had a great time at the Early Ford V8 Club's Grand National Meet in Dearborn, MI. If you missed this for whatever reason, you missed a good one. Some of the attractions we visited were: The Henry Ford Museum, Greenfield Village, Rouge Factory Tour (F150 pu truck assembly plant), Benson Ford Research Center, Gilmore Museum, EFV8 Foundation Museum, Crawford Museum in Cleveland, Ohio, Ford Piquette Plant bus tour, Motor Muster at Greenfield Village, Ford Garage Restaurant, Slows BBQ Restaurant. Also, three very good seminars: Rebuilding carburetors and fuel pumps by Charlie Schwendler, Early Ford Transmissions by Mac Van Pelt, and Spark plugs by Pat McFarland.
A huge thank you, and job well done by those responsible for organizing this GNM and making it happen. Thank you all!!

I'll try to post as many of my pictures as possible here......
