My 56 Merc, I need to replace shocks what do you recommend, quality and etc

Any good brand should do the job, they're all about the same quality wise. I do recommend heavy duty shocks. I put a set on my '55 Merc and it feels almost European now, but not too stiff.

Dobie is right. You could also go to the Hamb and look thru the 52-59 Social group forum. There are many discussions re shocks there
