Default 4 speed overdrive transmission

I am looking at a restored truck that has a 4 speed transmission. The 4th gear is an overdrive. The person who restored the truck has sadly left us so
I do not know the source of this conversion. It uses an AA clutch housing and
the torque tube/radius rod set up appears stock (not an open drive). Any
information would be helpful.

Thanks,

Sounds like a well installed F150 3+1 box?

Did they cut the center cross member Paul? the torque tube setup retains the structural integrity as Ford designed it.

No. Unlike many of the conversions this one did not alter the center cross member or the drive train beyond maybe shortening the drive shaft. I am going back to look at the truck again and plan to really crawl under it to check out the install.

If you know the previous owners name, call or email Ken Parker or Dave Delume. They are the two people who made these F150 conversion kits. If they recognize the name then you'll know the source of the kit. If not, it may be a DIY job. Ken Parker is on Ford Barn (KenParker) and Dave Delume had a website and he is also on Ford Barn (miss victoria). Here is Delume's contact information;

I believe that use of the AA clutch housing lets it all sit far enough forward that the crossmember doesn't need to be cut (like mine was).
