Default log in everytime

The past two or three weeks or so, every time I come to this site (which I have been a member for 8 years now), I have to log in. And yes I DO sign in to remember me every time too. Never been that way. What's going on?

When you log in there should be a box to check. It says something like "Remember me" or "Keep me logged in". Are you checking the box?

You got me on that one. I guess I will start having to read slower and pay more attention to what I am reading.

Any ideas. I Still have to log in all the time Even 10 minutes after I just logged in. It won't save it no matter if I check the box as I do every time. I hate to ,after 8 years, totally start over with a new log in name and password. Can a moderator help me please?

I didn't have to until awhile back, sometime last year. Just thought it was old PC not keeping up with updates. Now with new I still have to log in. It was more convenient.

Sorry for the hassle. That problem happens when your browser is out of memory. Here is how you can beat it:

1. Clear the cache and temporary internet files from your browsers memory.

2. Next time you login, click the "remember me" box.

After that, you will be good to go!

Thanks,

You didn't mention what browser you are using. I use Firefox and a quick google found this suggestion:

"Websites remembering you and automatically log you on is stored in a cookie.
  • Create an allow cookie exception (Tools > Options > Privacy > Cookies: Exceptions) to keep such a cookie, especially for secure websites and if cookies expire when Firefox is closed." Delete exceptions listed unless you need them.
I don't actually use Google but Start Page and asked it for this -

"Remember me no longer works - why?"
