Engine Mounting
Does anyone know the differences in a 1935 and 1936 front flathead engine mounting bracket? I know the mounting bracket is different but am not sure what the difference is- are they interchangeable? Thanks!

Re: Engine Mounting
I guess you're referring to the water inlets/motor mounts.I could be wrong but I believe the '36 inlets point down about 10-15 degrees and the 35's point pretty much straight out.As I said,I could be wrong.

Re: Engine Mounting
The 36 mount platforms flow straight in to the center line of the hose outlet where the 1935 mount platforms sort of make a Z curve to down below the water outlet. 1935 P/Ns 48-6030/31 and 1936 P/Ns 68-6030/31

Re: Engine Mounting
Thank you everyone. I guess in order to use a '36 motor in a '35 truck with a '35 radiator you'd need to do some reworking of the radiator?

Re: Engine Mounting
There is not that much difference between the center lines of 1935 & 1936 mounts. Now the 1933/34 mounts are different. The major difference is that the 1935 is more recessed than the 1936 in where the stub is positioned to meat the hose. If the radiator output tubes protrude farther on the 1935 then there might be some clearance problems.
