Default Dist machine calibration

Some of you guys that have Dist machines ( sun ) ( Allen) ect, how do you check the dwell calibration of your machine, Any way to use a sig generator or a calibrated voltage? Thanks

I checked mine (Sun MD-1) against a hand held dwell / tach meter throughout the rpm range. I was lucky, same reading.

Told by a electronic's engineer to us a "square wave Function Generator", he will look as soon as he gets home for the equipment if you are in need of one, also several HAM radio operators have this equipment.
