1936 LB engine fuel pump stand to intake
I need someone who knows this Flathead really well.
My question is when you remove the fuel pump stand from the intake you find A gasket and a push rod. Remove the gasket and Around the push rod is a metal sleeve that has sort of a cut out notch like its cut I half. Does the cut out notch face rear or front of the engine When being replaced back in and does it matter. |

Actually, there are several 'cut out notches' in that tube. they are baffles. Fit the tube in any orientation; it doesn't matter.

Ford used the oil baffle tube from 35 till 48. I have never seen a document to insert the tube in any specific direction, for these years, nor is it marked such.
