Barners, I just finish an 8 year restoration of my 1936 Ford Deluxe Roadster, Model 68-710. It was a basket case before I started, but has earned two awards. It is all steel, all stock except for 6V alternator and 39 brakes. Color is Washington Blue with an LB interior and top. It was worth the time and expense. It is a survivor and a pleasure to drive! ^^ Great job! Many have done a great job of preserving and/or restoring many old Fords.

Keep them coming. I still wonder just how many are still around? I've got a pal in western Virginia that has accomplished some tremendous saves from next to nothing but kept at it with parts and pieces from many donors to make it happen. To see the picture trail on some of the cars is amazing and I'm sure many of you have done the same. It is the people and what they individually commit to do and ultimately achieve that makes this hobby so great. Every guy might not fully finish what he starts but without his efforts the next guy may not have had anything. Each owner along the way contributes something toward the current state of the vehicle and should be proud.

Seems like they are everywhere! I appreciate the chiming in on those you own and those you see.
What number would you guess for roadsters, phaetons, cabriolets? I am pretty sure the number for convertible sedans is less than 250 since we've only found 205 in the last 15+ years.
1,000 roadsters?
600 phaetons?
anybody got a guess on the cabriolets which were the most plentiful?
how about the club cabriolet?
I thought someone had already done some similar research on at least one of these when I started.
Thanks for all the comments and help,
Al
Forgot to mention I had the roadster out today for a 20 mile run and was fun.

Hi,
I don't recall if I put my name on your list of 1936 Club Cabriolets. Mine is still on it's seemingly never to end restoration

We have a 1936 Phaeton purchased at Barrett Jackson in Costa Mesa, CA a few years ago. It was said to be from a collection in Arizona.

A couple of years ago I counted all the 36 roadsters listed in the Ford national v8 club roster and there were just slightly over 200 of them. There is also someone (I don't remember who) here that is creating a register of all existing 35/36 roadsters.

You can add me to the list for a 36 Roadster. I’ve purchased the car from a friend in Idaho. It was restored sometime in the 70’s and had a later model rebuilt flathead installed in the early 2000’s. I’ve have gone through the car mechanically. Rebuilt the transmission and rear end. Installed a Columbia so I can drive it on the highway. I am currently rebuilding the front end. The car is a good driver, 100% Henry steel car.

For the four door model, I see a lot more Phaetons. Just what I see. This pic from a 2013 tour hosted by our member TrainGuy. In Scranton, at the train museums.
