Duel 94 issues...
I've got 2 rebuilt 94's on a plenum manifold on my 8BA 276 Mercury flathead that are not coming around. I have a huge flat spot
Under acceleration along with some snapping and farting. Currently they are loaded with 48 mains, 4.5 power valves and the accelerator arms in the #3 holes. Floats are set at the recommended spots. The engine starts and idles fine. No problems. Running an old Mallory Duel Point rebuilt and set up by Bubba's. Any ideas from youse guys? I'm thinking the mains are too small for the size of the engine? Also, running a 3/4 cam. The squirters look like they are working fine. |

Re: Duel 94 issues...
Well, with a 276 and cam I'd start with 49-50 main jets and 5.5 power valves, hope your Mallory and coil is working, I don't have much faith in them. Walt

I think you should check the advance curve before you start changing things

I'd start with ignition/coil. Also what 3/4 cam how much duration?

Did you use a "Unisync" to balance the carbs? Great info on this forum on that. Keep us posted. |
