Default fuel tank float question

What direction does the float arm go in the fuel tank? 1937 pickup. Sorry for the stupid question.

Float is pointed toward passenger side.

I also believe that the bolt spacing for the sender is such that is will only go into the tank one way. Experience is with 36 Ford 5W Coupe.
