Is there a register of engine numbers by build date for Canadian engines? I'm trying to ascertain the build date for engine number CAQ7994. Cheers!

According to Ford Garage date coding it starts November 4, 1929, lots of good info at fordgarage.com

Yes, there is also a complete date list in the MARC/MAFCA Resteration Guidelines and Judging Standards...Your engine is dated between October 1-31, 1929. (4616-9385)

Our Canadian judging standards indicate that your engine number was used between September 4th and November 4 th 1929 . That letter combination would of had numbers 00001 - 10 000 ,then series CAW was next , starting on November 18 ,1929. Hope this helps..
