I've heard it said that Henry didn't care who won the war - he had a dollar each way.
This could easily turn political so I'll leave it at that!

Ford powered all sides..German,Russian and American. Current views on anti semitism should not be overlaid on history,we've evolved to this point, its unfair to judge those who didn't live through the evolution.

WW2 wasn't a foregone conclusion in 1940/41,the Axis were known to be inferior in capacity and raw materials, but their armies were first rate. Its hard to boil it down to one point, but the failure to take a direct thrust to Moscow when the tide was high in late '41,with the panzers 50 miles from the Kremlin looms large.Hitler came close, closer than the history books lead you to believe.

The bottom line is that the Ford Motor Company helped the USA and its allies win WW2. Henry Ford's politics were not in the mainstream, and it matters not 77 years after his death.

Thumbs down Your Point Being ?

So ....

It would appear the OP is “ very disturbed “.

If I were “ very disturbed “ and felt compelled to start a thread
and post an external link ....

I would sell my F350 PSD CC Dually that I drive every
day and never buy another Ford.

As a part German-American, I get tired of these attempts to slander anyone by painting them with a "NAZI" brush. In the 1930s, Hitler was a very popular man. Time magazine even made him "Man of the year" in 1938. Why? Because of the economic miracle he had brought to Germany, despite the very adverse conditions put on Germany by the big Bankers and their plans to keep Germany in perpetual Debt. Although. The plans to oppose them were actually from a man named Hjalimar (sp) Schacht, not Hitler. There was no depression in Germany after 1933-34, Despite Germany having had it's gold reserves confiscated by the allies at Versailles. There was no talk of concentration camps then. Only what a remarkable recovery Germany made and the great man who made it all happen. Yes! Ford did business with Hitler! So what! So did Prescott Bush and many others. I'm told that many railroads ran on Kruppstahl tires? Does that mean the railroads were complicit in the building of National Socialism? Up to 1939, Hitler was regarded as a great man by many Americans. My mother was one! In 1939, she bought a copy of Mein Kampf and found it unreadable. What ever Hitler was, he was no writer. No body took the trouble to toss it out, so it sat on the shelf gathering dust and passed to me. Give it up! This is last century's news! It troubles no one!

Today's Corporations know no national dedication or honor. They have no borders. Or loyalty.

They have been given 'individual person' status and treated like a human being. They have special privilege.

Unfortunately, as a result we all can sometimes be made to suffer. They have become monsters.

Too True! Their behavior hasn't changed. There are steps being taken by our government to bring them into line as much as one government can but their international character makes them difficult to deal with and they know it!

I really do understand Henry Ford had some views not acceptable in our world. I also know he had what I call "slot enginnering brilliance on Mechanical stuff!"
However, I am not interested in reading about other subject and in particular borderline political stuff on a Model A Forum! Please move on to what the Forum is for and talk about your Model A Ford.
