Thank You One and All
I first discovered Fordbarn in the year 2000. I do not remember who was the caretaker of the Barn at that time but do remember it was sold to Shelly who ran it and expanded for quite a few years. I had the pleasure of meeting her a number of times. Wonderful Lady. Now we have Ryan and all is great. Today is Jan. 1, 2015 and by coincidence my 1000 post with Ryan. It seems fitting I should use this "milestone" to take the time to thank all those who have helped me, advised me and made me laugh. I re-discovered Flatheads in 2000 when I purchased a 40 Ford. My flathead knowledge at that time was zero. Now through the help of the many many posters here who freely give their time and experience I am building flatheads from basic stock to some more high performance. They are all street engines and so far all the new owners are very happy. I am by no means an expert but have reached a comfort level knowing I am fully capeable of building. I know when I come across some new twist I am able to come here for the answers. So THANK YOU one and all. Pics below are some of the 30 plus engines I have built here in Canada. Thanks Bill

It has been a pleasure over the years. I still have the block I got from you when we met at the Lethbridge swap meet. That must have been about '02/03?

Good post Bill. Nice work on those Flathead builds. I can still recall some of your past trips you made into the USA delivering FH blocks to Fordbarners. Also remember you having that beautiful blown FH engine built by Joe Abbin at Roadrunner Engineering. Do you still have that engine?

I'm not on here very much, but it's great to still have good folks around contributing their knowledge. Thanks, and Happy New Year!

Re: Thank You One and All
Thanks for being here, you and all the others have become my village. I stumbled into the Barn when the old MTFCA fell apart from back biting and in fighting and even a troll or two. The action on the V8 forum was so impressive I eventually wound up with a 59ab in the garage. My job kept me away from home. Then my health cost me the job. The highlight of my daily life is checking in here. This is the backbone of my social life. When the doctors figure out what it is that's wrong with me I'll be actively creating my own questions, rather than a yell from the sidelines, now and then. Bless you all, A happy healthy new year

Re: Thank You One and All
Congrats Bill !!!!! This is great stuff , you may have received a ton of help & knowledge here on the "Barn" , but you Bill have given so much also . You Bill were one of my biggest supporters in bringing the KiWi-L100 cam available to all that want it ! Buying 3 cams as soon as I had the "Master" completed . Thanks so much for that !!!
Thanks for all the help & inspiration you give to us all !! Keep building those great engines !! Cheers Tony |

Re: Thank You One and All
Thanks for the comments guys. Tim, I remember meeting you at the swap meet in Lethbridge. Lots of snow and you drove your flatty pickup all the way from Kalispell. I think the swap had about 25 tables then. Now they use three building and sell out over 500 tables. Amazing as it is held mid February and often snow and cold.
JM 35 sedan I made two trips down from Canada. One as far as Florida and the other as far as San Diego. Probably hauled down 60 blocks in all. Joe Abbin took, I believe 18 of them. His motor is parted out. Long block is here in Canada and the blower assembly went to Don Garlits for a display motor in the museum in Ocala. Ol'Ron, I wish I was a young guy but in fact I have already passed my 70th birthday. Ross, more parts heading to you this week coming. Tony, I will be ordering more cams one of these days. |

Re: Thank You One and All
Happy New year to you my friend. I don't think I will ever catch up with you as far as quantity of engine builds. Lol I've always appreciated your help and look forward to continue picking your brain.
