I agree with you, cut away engines are awesome. After I retired I was the curator of a auto manufacturer's private museum where I would restore their cut away engines that were used at auto shows then put into storage. I must restored 10 different engines over the years. Each one was a bit different and fun to learn about. I painted the different passages and systems different colors to represent water, fuel, oil or air.
I've been thinking about doing the same with a 'extra' Model A block I have. Maybe one day... |

Point of clarification...........I believe that George Pope owned the school bus at one time but, the beautiful restoration work to bring the bus to its present condition and its subsequent donation to the museum was proudly accomplished by the members of the Hangtown A's of Placerville, CA.
