Default Help please with an original Ford and Lincoln colour

Hi all – it has been quite sometime since I’ve been on here but I am trying to track down information on a less common original factory paint colour

In 1951 Lincoln called it ‘manitou red’ but I have been able to find absolutely no information on it and I’m hoping someone can point me in a direction where I might be able to find some images of the actual colour or better yet vehicles with the original colour

The only hits I get when looking on the Internet is a cross reference for a ford colour but I don’t know how to decipher the data or info from that small nugget

Any help or advice very much appreciated

Thanks Ron

Manitou red I believe is a metallic red that is similar to the red that I had on a 1949 Mercury.
You have to understand that most any online color sample that is found will not be a true representation of the color.
This is an example of how different posted colors can be.
Which one was the original posted color?
