The 150 mile shake down.
Now that I've got a few more miles under my wheels, I'm starting to go back over my build to double or triple check things. Chassis lube, second oil change and brake adjustment done. Retorque the head (3rd time) and plan to checking engine timing this weekend.
Anything else that should be added? Any trouble areas that call for preventative maintenance now? |

Check your front end alignment.. if the toe in moves around, you can scrub a lot of rubber off the front tires in short time if you are running all new components.. and most importantly, have fun!

Re: The 150 mile shake down.
Timing doesn't change. If it was correct before then it is now. With that said, as the point block wears down and the point gap tightens then the EFFECTIVE timing retards. Resetting the points brings it back to where it was.
