Default Dash Light to Dash Bar Mounting

I am reassembling/restoring a 31 Roadster that has been apart for many years. I notice that the dash bar, which the dash rail mounts to only has one D-nut left in it. I was going to add the other two but then realized that the center one would interfere with the dash light mounting bracket. How does this work? Is just a regular nut used in the center?
