Default light switch and horn rod

what would be the ideal lube for the horn and light switch rod on my 35 pu, so that the rod does'nt turn when the steering wheel is turned? thanks

The rod may be bent and contacting the side of the shaft.

I agree with 1932BB The rod is probably bent just a tad and is binding on the tube. Check it out, and don't bend the rod too much. It won't hurt anything to put a wee tad of grease on the rod where it is rubbing on the tube. Good luck and keep us posted. What about posting a picture of your 35 PU.
