Default Great Forum....and my 1928 Coupe

This Forum Rules....a lot of great info and input....and non of the attitude like some of the other Forums!

Here are a few pictures of my latest purchase! Runs great, no rust, older restoration, but still looks good. I am wet sanding some of the runs and funky spots in the paint and then will do a cut and polish. Other then that it is ready to go. Starts right up, runs, shifts, and stops!

I was looking for a Coupe to hot rod but this one is too cool as it sits, so it will stay as is.

Hey Mel,

Welcome Aboard ! Sweet looking Coupe you have there !

Is it a "steel-back" or "leather-back" (referring to the roof section) ?

Mel, there are lots and lots of hot rod coupe projects out there that have been started and abandoned due to a variety of reasons (in fact, there are two on Craigslist in the Portland area right now). Your new find is a beauty and I agree that it is just too nice to rod, but if you're still looking for that kind of thing I would encourage you to find one that has already been started. You'll probably get it cheaper and may even save yourself some work.

Or inherit a nightmare!!! I have built a few rods and have started from scratch as well as starting with a build in progress....pros and cons in both! Also done a few restorations....its really all about how the car "talks" to you.....this one will stay as is...just couldn't pass up the deal...
