Smile 1942 steering wheel

Hi everyone,

Does anyone know if the reproduction steering wheel that most venders are selling for the 1940 will fit the 42 Ford commercial. I have looked up the part numbers in the green parts book and it seems that the 01A-3600-B fits 40 car and 40 - 42 commercial. Does anyone know if this repo wheel is based on that original?

The taper and keyway should be the same.

And yes, a 40 Ford Standard steering wheel is the same as 40-47 commercial.

Not to hijack... but what is the going rate on these wheels? A friend just found one and wants me to make an offer... decent and usable but with a few cracks which are not splitting apart.

I see $50-$150 on these wheels. 40 Deluxe can bring more.

I agree, 100.00 seems to be the norm unless it is very nice, or in pretty poor condition
