Default Model T front axle

I have a model T front axle from a 1917 touring car that has been sitting in my shed for a number of years.
Just wondering what the going rate is, if I were to sell it?
Thank you in advance.

This is one of the parts that about any one with model T's have at least 3 or 4. If the axel is in perfect condition, with good threads and good spring perches with good threads and bushings, it might be worth $50.oo. If not it might be worth $5.oo. Shipping might cost more than the value of the axel.

Make a small trailer with it and put it to use!

Thank you for your replies. The three Model T front axles are going to the scrap yard.

While what has been said is true for the most part, the early front axles are worth more. Can you post a photo of the spindle ends to about the spring perch hole? Also look for "DB" as part of the forging in the channel.

why not just advertise them for FREE...recipient pays shipping, or give them to a Model T buddy to give away at the next swap meet in your area.
or put them on Craigslist for free. I just hate to see any original parts scrapped. Nothing like an original part.

Jim donate them to a vocational auto class, when I took the engine & automotive class @ the spring point SMVTI one of the first steering and front end topics was the Ackerman type front axle.

What about some need through your local Model T club?

Please try one of the other options before scrapping. I'd even like to have on to make a trailer if we could work out a deal

Wow, I need a good straight front axle. Every one I see at a swap meet is twisted like a licorice stick, but I am in NY

Ford started to have the Ford script on axles in 1919. There is typically also a maker's mark like TW for Transue Williams as an example.

I'm thinking about making a bench for my yard out of unusable T parts.
Three axles is a good start.
I have a two piece crank, bent rods, wishbones and a lot of other rusty stuff.
