Default V8 60 can't whistle wolf

I thought it would be novel to install a wolf whistle on my V8 60 motor. I took the vacuum right off the intake manifold where the windshield wiper vacuum is attached. At first I thought the whistle was defective, but then tried it on a different vehicle manifold with results. I guess the little sixty doesn't produce enough manifold vacuum to cry wolf! Has anyone else experienced this?

It wouldn't be original, but you could use a vacuum can from a modern vehicle. Like for the retractable lights on a caddy, or I have one off a 90's Ford pick up.

The vacuum passage for the wiper is small. if you find a carb base vacuum adapter like used for columbia---or possibly a more common southwind heater one drilled out some

There is less vacuum when the engine is raced. Try the whistle as you leave off the gas. G.M.

I changed out the vacuum line with a T manifold adaptor which was more than enough volume. Funny thing is that when the vacuum line is open sucking air the motor doesn't run any different than when it is plugged.....go figure!

Put a gauge on it.
If you have 15 inches or more the whistle should at least give a chirp.
