1940 Coupe Standard
City:
Tempe
State:
AZ
Price:
19000
This car was a frame off restoration that was completed shortly before the accident.
The engine has less than 50 miles on it and is a bored and stroked 99T block flathead built by H&H Flatheads running (3)Stromberg “97” carbs, upgrade water bumps rebuilt by Fryer’s Water Pumps and Red’s Headers with a custom exhaust that has electronic cutouts and Smitty Mufflers. The transmission is stock and had been rebuilt with all new gears. This still shifts fine but the u-joint and rear mount were damaged in the accident. The rear end is stock as well. The fame is bent in a few places. The car was converted to 12v with a period correct wire harness to handle the upgrades made under the hood. It has a Vintage Air system, aluminum radiator and electric fans for the radiator and condenser. The suspension, front and rear, was upgraded to shocks and the brakes had been completely rebuilt. The entire fuel system is also new, running an electric fuel pump. The interior has LeBarron Bonney components some of which have damage. The seat were damaged in the accident. The dash is still in great condition and had been upgraded with a Classic Instruments cluster. Everything from the cowl forward was virtually untouched. Can also supply a list of what went into the car. Included is the replacement value of the front sheetmetal which is original and in excellent condition Video with cutouts open - https://youtu.be/EjLImafxvTM Video with cutouts closed - https://youtu.be/O7waUP0sdC0 |
