Default Oil leak

I ran my car last Sunday parked it then came home on Wednesday to this mess in my driveway. Any ideas before I start?

What part of the car was directly above the mess? Most likely, the back of the engine. If so, start with the rear main bearing. Check for clearance, end play in the crank, oil return pipe, slinger, the rear end of the cam shaft etc. Do a search - there will be plenty of info already here.

Do a search of the site for a rear bearing leak.

In addition to the search here, here is a site that has some info.

Hard to judge from photo but is car parked on an incline with the rear lower than front?

On the bright side, you are lucky it was on concrete and not tar, like my driveway has.

First thing I would do is to try to clean as much oil off as you can. Maybe a can of gunk cleaner and spray it off with a garden hose. Take it for a short ride and park it. Cardboard underneath gives you a clean surface to try to identify the leak area. I had a very similar issue on my coupe. Drove it, parked it, and came out to find large puddles. I was ready to pull the oil pan and go at the rear main. Turns out it was the side valve cover gasket. It must have "cooked" right behind the exhaust at the rear of the motor. The oil ran down the very back of the engine block and dripped off the end, just like a rear main leak. Good luck to you!!

when you get the oil off the cement as good as you can, put white vinegar on oil spot. this will help clean the oil stain.

How full is the crankcase---was it just topped off before the drive---is the level up to the "F" or covering it, the model a engine is very good at eliminating excess oil
