Hood hinges
Just curiosity … what makes the hood hinges scuff the paint from their opposite counterparts ? In other words, why do we see pictures of cars scuffed and others don’t ?

I’ve seen it more when assembling odd panels together. A file and trial fitting before painting will go a long way in preventing such Also the eyelets can get enlarged that affects the opposite panel. I have a die on vice grips that I use to reset the eyelets if distorted. Rods should be a reasonably tight fit but not binding |
