Default Tierod end grease zert direction questions

I'm working on my friends '31 coupe, and noticed the bolt that clamps the end to the threaded rod is making contact with the wishbone on a left turn all the way to the steering stop. I think if I flip the tie rod end for end it will clear the wishbone. The grease zerk's are currently facing forward, after the flip they will be easier to access for adding grease in the future. I can't find my judging standard's book to look this one up. So do the zerk's face forward or backward?

Mine are pressed in and face the rear.

From early 1928 through October 1930 grease fittings were threaded facing front.
From November 1930 to end of production they were press in and faced the rear.

Thanks for the info., I swapped the tie rod, end for end, and the pinch bolts do not touch the wishbone now. The press in grease fittings are now facing the rear of the car.
