Kevin in NJ, replace your fluid with DOT-5. We did that in 1982 with the LAPD cars, and saved a ton of money on maintenance.

Hello my Model A was also converted to hydraulic brakes that would lock up , I found as mentioned in a previous post that the master cylinder didnÂ’t have enough free play in it . It is mounted on battery box ,think itÂ’s a Boling conversion.

Golly gosh,

He said " It has brand new wheel cylinders, master cylinder, shoes, drums, and hardware."

and some of the advice is to chuck it, and get some rusty worn out mechanical brake bits and start from scratch.

Is that wise?
