'54 wing window putty
To get the frames chromed I had to do some dissassembly. I have discovered that here is a substance, quite like the window putty we used when I was younger. Does anyone know why the sealer was in there?
Picture #1 shows the valley that had the putty in it, and can be seen in #2 with the frame installed. Picture #3 shows the old putty in the crevice.

I thought just glass tape was used but a '54 is prior to my experiences.
