Default Model A bolts

Still sorting out a large quanity of Model A bolts. I have a pretty complete Model A library but don't know where to find the identity of various bolts. Has anyone gone through this drill? Any and all help welcome.

Parts Price List is where I always look for hardware size and finish. This booklet has a few mistakes, but can usually be figured out.

Ron,
Tom has that right, in the back of the Parts Price List under Standard Parts...but also, are you refering to where they go on the Model A/AA Ford?

If you have a copy of "Ford Model A Standard Hardware 1928 - 1931" by Mick Isbell you have a good start on your project. It was jointly published by MARC and MAFCA.

I refer to if often and is a great addition to any library.

Probably a Time consuming task to do, but in the Red Cover Vol 1, Model A Mechanics Handbook, written by Les Andrews. He Notes in every Repair Section, almost on every Page, What size Bolts and Nuts are used and where, and how many. I think that their is also a Page or two Devoted to size, thread, and where used.

I went through the bolt sorting drill a few years ago. I also have a purdy good model A library. I find Brattons catalog to be a good source for bolt size , threads per inch and lots oif good pictures of the bolts. I find better info in the Brattons catalog than I do in the mechanics handbooks. and its easy to navigate.

I use Brattons catalog in the same way. It is the main source of info, when in the 'reading room'. There is a lot of good information within the covers of their catalog. I always get a little exceited when a new one arrives. I wish I had your probem Ron, I should have been buying more hardware 30 years ago. I have recently (last year or two) started buying boxes of nuts and bolts, purdy cool, what you find.
