Edelbrock Heads On 221 Motor?
I've recently picked up some used, new Edelbrock heads. The engine in my '36 is a small bore 24 stud (81A).
Is it worth me bolting them on the small bore engine or does the drop in capacity/compression ratio make them worthless on the smaller engine? I'm already running the stock 81A heads skimmed 60 thou. Thanks |

By all means run them; do the piston to head clearance check and machine them to acheive .050" squish.

What sort of compression drop can I expect by using the Edelbrock heads on my 3 1/16 bore motor as the heads are designed for a 3 3/16 bore motor.

I don't think you'll find a drop, I think you'll have an increase. When you get your heads off see if you can compare the CC in both. Walt
