#94 carb flow detail.
The detail sheets that were displayed by barn member are not available for sale,
so I ask any members to explain (like the drawings illustrate) how fuel is diverted in a "94" from one aspirated channel or the other without valves ? The drawings show 3 distinct paths that the fuel follows, depending on throttle position but no way of path diversion? Anybody know? |

OK nobody replied to my carb flow question so I continued research, what I found is a book called. "1932 to 1941 service handbook. This book goes into great detail on the flow of fuel paths in a Ford "94" carburattor.
I also has nice clear printable diagrams showing the 4 states of diversion of fuel in the "94". The idle circuit, the main circuit, the power valve circuit and the accelerator pump circuit. All of these flow-path changes are controlled by throttle position only. This is all governed by fuel weight (with or without bubbles) and vacuum. Their are two pages of description. Fantastic engineering, all done without valves, is there enough interest to do a post on this? |

Read carefully as you follow the fuel through the 4 stages of throttle position and relate it to the flow arrows on the drawings. Pay particular attention to the tiny little ports where air is dragged-in to emulisify the fuel thereby making it less dense and more likely to respond to throttle changes! You will note also how fuel is drawn up the inside of the aspirator tube and a ever-so-slight change in throttle causes the fuel to be drawn up around the outside of the idle aspirator tube.
