Default Cabriolet 68B top iron screw length

I am looking for the correct length for the 1/4 20 TPI screw that holds the front header to the top iron. There are three screws on each side.

thanks

If you don't have time to do it right the 1st time, how do you have time to do it the 2nd time?

Thanks quickchange, mine have been replaced and I was hoping to get a length for an original screw.

Since I did not get a response, I am going to answer my own question.

This started based on a comment from John Hash when he saw my Cabriolet. He could see the top material was being pushed up from the screws being too long. I reached in between the top material and top header and could feel the thread protrusion.

I removed the screws and they were 1 1/4 in long. I ground the screws down to a length of 1 1/8 reinstalled them. I then reached in between the top material and top header and found that the thread protrusion was now eliminated.

I hope this helps other Cabriolet owners avoid this minor problem.
