Default 1968 Galaxie

Couple o questions here...

What were the motor choices available for this car? The guy whos selling it says 428, is that possible...

This thing was driven hard and parked broken, luched driveshaft and rearend, this should be a 9 inch, right?

Where can I find sheetmetal for this?

The 428 came out in 1966. In the thunderbird version. The cobra-jet came out about mid-year 1968. There was a police interceptor version available also. The police interceptor had an aluminum intake that was painted. the others were cast iron intakes. It is very possible it is a 428. And Yes the galaxie would have a nine inch rear. One other note might be of interest the P.I. version made more horsepower than the cobrajet. P.I. was rated at 365 HP the crobra jet at 335 HP.
