Cool Brakes again - 31 roadster

HEY GUYS ONCE AGAIN I HAVE A BRAKE QUESTION ; rear drums are removed, left rear has shoes but no em. shoes installed and the drum goes back on with no problem. r rear , all brakes are installed , em . brake is on , I cannot get the drum to go back on, it goes on up to the first thread of the axle very tight. this drum needed to be pulled off with a puller. Any suggestions, is there a way to adjust the em. shoes so as to install the drum? ? . FIRST TIME WORKING ON MODEL A BRAKES . thanks again THE HOOCH

Make sure your adjusters are all the way out, and you may have to sand the e-brake lining down a bit as the repop stuff can be too thick. Chamfer the shoe edges as well.
Good luck!

Also make sure the parking brake lever isn't part way pulled on and rusted in place. If it's rusted tight I'd use an oxy/acc torch to get the tube real hot then try to turn it. If you try to force it without heat there is a good chance of ruining the tight fit to the carrier plate.
