Re: My MODEL A dog wants to help
My old buddy Bard, as you can see loved eating Watermelon. When I called to him, lets go for a ride, he would run to the car door and jump up and down 3 to 4 times, all 4 feet off the ground, until I opened the door to let him in. He would sit in the passengers seat every time I took him with me. I some times thought he was almost human, riding down the road he would see something and his head would follow until we passed it, than forward again, or look over at Me.
Although Bard never got a ride in my finished Model A, he was with me out in the garage for 3 of the 4 years it took to build it, siting and sleeping on a throw rug, watching me. He went to Dogie Heaven a year ago last Dec, Inherited Kidney Disease. He always sits close to me when I am on this computer, late at night, I feel his presence, and I voted for Bob as Bard would have wanted me to. Last edited by Jazzjr; 03-23-2013 at 01:40 AM. Re: My MODEL A dog wants to help
I would love for my dog to accompany me in my "A" but every time I ask this is what I get.

Barney (My 8 year old Schnauzer and riding companion) and I just voted for Bob. Barney is ready when the wheels roll, and when getting home, gives me the look, " Is That All"...

Re: My MODEL A dog wants to help
Bob you got my vote. For the response from Louis, I always take my Harrier Hound with me. We have a special harness that attaches to the seat belt. She's just as safe as a person. As for any smell, well she smells alot better than a women loaded with perfume.

Re: My MODEL A dog wants to help
Wife and daughter had to put our 12 yr old down about 2 wks ago, New guy (rescue from TN, supposedly shepherd and mastiff, 2 yrs old, 50 lb) arrives Monday. They can't wait.
Maybe I'll finally learn how to post a picture instead of waiting for my son to come home from MO. Lots of nice dogs posted. Paul in CT |

Here's an update. Currently, Bob has about 248 votes in the photo contest and is doing well. About 200 of those votes came from two local pet groups in my area. Just so Barners know how the "700 views" vs "actual votes" tabulate in FordBarn. Again, your support for the cause is much appreciated!

Here's another vote for Bob. Cat wanted to vote for a cat, but said if Bob is a Model A dog then he can't be all that bad. Good luck Bob.

Re: My MODEL A dog wants to help
Hoarsewhispere, I just voted for your dog Bob, and I did not have to ask my wife , that brings his votes to 256, Bob is a shoe in, no doubt.
But I still think an "A" model is no place for a dog or any other animal. still JMO . Glen, which offends poor Bob the most, the smell of exh. fumes, oil fumes, or the smell of that cigar? ......just pulling your PAW . Bob is a nice looking dog.
