Engine Serial #
My 1913 Touring has the following serial number 304972. Would like to verify the block/engine year. I looked at one of the parts supply house list and could not make out what they referencing for numbers. Thank you guys

Re: Engine Serial #
304972 was assigned to a car built in mid July 1913, the very last month for the 1913 model year. Your block should have a date cast into its side just to the rear of that serial number. The date will be the day the block was cast, typically a few days prior to the number being stamped.

Re: Engine Serial #
In this example the serial number is 289343. The date is 6 3 13 = June 3, 1913.
