Default wheel adaptor plate

I need help locating the person who was making a adaptor plate to be used with 1935 - 1948 rims so wheels can go on a modern tire balance machine?

Thank you

Frank

I believe Dick Spadaro was making and selling those, but Dick has passed-away. Someone else may chime-in here with another source. DD

I think you mean '36-'39 "wide five" wheels? I've been able to do the others on my bubble balancer and enough modern cars use the 5 on 5 1/2 pattern that they shouldn't be a probloem.

Frank, Speedway did sell them. I'm not certain if they still do.

Be certain to have the plate balanced prior to having a wheel / tire bolted to it.

If you don't, any imbalance in that plate will be transferred to the balance of the tire / wheel assembly.

I bought this adapter from speedway. It is a wheel adapter to bolt a Ford wheel to a different hole pattern. You use this to provide a center based on the wheel lugs.
Does not matter which other car it fits.

I made the spacer to allow the spin ballancer cone to tighten down. Need to fit that to whatever machine used.

Works good on lug centric Ford wheels.

55willys on the HAMB used to make adapters to use other bolt pattern wheels on wide 5's which could be used for balancing as well.
