Push button start Question ??
1 New 12 volt starter
2 new 12 volt solenoid Cable fron Solenoid to Batt Cable from batt to ground Cable fron solenoid to starter Push button wire (fused) to batt(2 wire button) other wire to S side of solenoid Engine cranks with key off On one of the diagrams it show grounding the I side of the solenoid ?? Why If it cranks ? If I'm good to go I will try & start with gas & work on the fuel line with new pencil filter & electronic fuel shut off. No more gettin under hood to turn off gas valve. |

Re: Push button start Question ??
That’s probably just a secondary ground if you might need it. Start her up, but have fun doing it.

Re: Push button start Question ??
The "I" on the solenoid is a 12 volt bypass that connects to the ignition coil on the original application of your solenoid. Full 12 volts goes to the coil during starting of the engine. When you let go of the starting switch the coil voltage drops to around 6 volts because of either resistor wire or a ceramic resistor in the ignition circuit. You shouldn't need to connect the "I" post on the solenoid in your application. Good luck with your project. Bob
